Pose is a very strong well made daughter of Acclamation out of the winning Marju mare Lyca Ballerina. She ran on six occasions as a two year old, putting up her best performance to finish fifth in the Watership Down Stud Sales race at Ascot at the end of September. This racy daughter of Acclamation looks sure to give her owners plenty more fun as a three year old.

Unfortunately Pose pulled up lame and therefore was unable to run any sort of race at Goodwood on 12th August. Richard Hughes tucked her in behind the leaders, and she seemed to be travelling well within herself through the early stages. As the pace quickened, it looked as if Pose had every chance of going close but just before the furlong pole she faltered and Richard immediately eased off her and dismounted as soon as he could. The racecourse vets looked at her both walking & trotting up, and felt that her stride was a little short. She was thoroughly examined by Richard's vets on her return to the yard but nothing was found to be amiss.

Pose met with trouble in running in the closing stages at Kempton on 9th September and finished unplaced. More details to follow.....
