This well bred colt by Azamour went through several growth stages last season and was too weak to get on to the racecourse as a two year old. He is a very good moving animal but Michael Bell was unable to get him into fast work last year although physically, this horse is now a lot stronger and hard to fault.
Admission ran no sort of race at all at Deauville on 15th August in very testing conditions. He travelled through the first half of the race really well and Richard Hughes gave him a patient ride, but as they turned into the home straight and the tempo quickened, the writing was clearly on the wall so Richard allowed the horse to hack home in his own time. This really is so disappointing having waited so long for softer ground but the combination of very heavy ground and the extended trip counted against him. We will see how he comes out of the race but ideally Michael would like to run him again on less extreme ground and over a shorter trip.
ADMISSION HAS BEEN DECLARED TO RUN AT DONCASTER ON SATURDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER OVER 1M4F AT 5.35PM.. HE HAS BEEN DRAWN ONE OF THE SIXTEEN RUNNERS AND WILL BE RIDDEN BY JAMIE SPENCER.
