Hierach was purchased at Saint Cloud in the Spring and looked sure to make an impact as a two year old. Having made his debut at Ascot towards the end of July, he made dramatic physical progress and began to show real potential in his work at home. Unfortunately he met with a setback and had to be put away for the season but remains open to plenty of improvement.

Unfortunately Hierarch once again decided that racing was not for him despite giving Richard Hughes a brief moment when he thought that he might win at Newmarket on 27th August. It is so frustrating looking at a horse like this in the parade ring and seeing such poor efforts when racing, especially when you know that there is an engine lurking.
