Rose Blossom ran on five occasions as a two year old, winning twice and breaking the track record at Hamilton on her debut. Following her victory at Haydock (where she also came very close to breaking the track record) she ran down the field in the Lowther Stakes (Gr 2) at York, running too free early on and fading in the final stages. She put up a much improved performance over the shorter trip in the Flying Childers Stakes (Gr 2) at Doncaster, finishing fourth and suggesting that she was learning to settle in the early stages of a race. Rose Blossom has returned to the Stud at Higchlere for a Winter break.
Rose Blossom returned to Richard Fahey’s yard at the beginning of February and is settling back in well with her training regime with him. Richard was delighted with the way in which she had changed for the better over the Winter and was very complimentary about the condition of her when she returned from Highclere. He also said that he would be going very easy on her over the next few weeks especially with the weather being so cold. This filly has done very well in recent weeks and it is great to see her really blooming and looking so progressive physically. Hopefully, this will give her every chance of winning a black type race this season.
