After a successful winning three year old season with Michael Bell, Advisor transferred to Paul Nicholls' Ditcheat yard in the Autumn of 2009 and made a highly impressive hurdling debut at Newbury on 16th December to win going away by six lengths. Subsequently he won in great style at Ascot on 23rd January and went straight to Cheltenham. He was unplaced in the Triumph Hurdle and ran no sort of race on ground that was less than ideal for him. He was very disappointing at Ayr on 17th April as he was beaten a long way from home and it is likely the ground was an issue so hopefully he will be seen at his best again in softer conditions.

Advisor enjoyed a well earned holiday before returning to Paul in mid-July. By the end of August, Paul reported Advisor to be in very good form but he does need soft ground so should be ready to make his seasonal debut in November.
